Review Revue
What if the review was the show?
For NZ Fringe 2026, an election year that couldn't come any sooner, musical comedy duo Bethany Miller and Logan Hunt imagine a best-of-all-possible-worlds-Aotearoa.
That's a tall order, so we've invited some friends (foes?) for feedback...
Each night we're bringing in a local theatre reviewer to critique our musical live on stage, and you'll get to witness the results.
See below for the confirmed reviewers (from Theatreview, Art Murmurs and Regional News)!
______
ABOUT THE DUO:
Nominated for "MOMENTOUS MUSIC" (NZ Fringe), Logan and Bethany have been making zany musicals every year since 2023, complete with crunchy social commentary, witty lyrics, and loveable/hateable characters. Logan loves to write, Bethany loves to improvise. This time, they've agreed to do both, at the mercy of live reviewers.
Their previous shows (Goody Goody Glam Pop, Touch Grass, and Battle Riffs) have been described as:
- "Supremely relevant social satire cleverly written and gorgeously portrayed" (Theatreview)
- "Delightfully ‘Fringey’, frenetic and buoyant with glorious energy and musicality" (Theatreview)
- "[Bethany Miller] is a consistently strong vocalist, as anyone who’s ever seen her perform will attest to." (Wellyott)
- "[Logan Hunt's] Tim Minchin-esque lyrics are brilliant and Miller’s performance of them a delight" (Regional News)
