A crew of die-hard skater boys get sucked into the video game Skate or Die. At first, it's all sick tricks, banter, and bros, until the game starts to glitch. Hard. To escape, they'll have to do more than land a clean ollie. This game is wired to force a reckoning with their past, their egos, their fragility and fears.
Created by Ōtautahi artist Millie Hanford and performed by five powerhouse women, Skate or Die fuses satire, movement, and gaming culture in a bold theatrical collision of comedy, chaos and actual skateboarding.
