Steiner and the Snake


Behind Waldorf education, biodynamic agriculture and many other connected initiatives lurks a troubling philosophy, concocted by Rudolf Steiner in the early 20th Century. Well guarded by its followers, Anthroposophy, a 'spiritual science', bases itself on Rudolf's direct access to the spiritual worlds and to the 'Akasha Chronic', where the complete history of the universe is said to be conveniently recorded.
Side-stepping natural sciences his insights reflect the racism of his time, his German nationalism and the fertile imagination of an 'initiate' let loose on a world hungry for the esoteric. Unfortunately many of his followers don't take kindly criticism...

Venue Access Information Wheelchair accessible - Accessible bathroom - Main entrance is wheelchair accessible via a ramp on either side of the front door. The door opens automatically from the inside and out - Accessibility park outside, however it is on a slope - Assistance dogs welcome
