The Spinoff Live: The Fold

Duncan Greive, The Spinoff founder and host of New Zealand's biggest (maybe only?) media podcast The Fold, pulls together some of our smartest media minds for a very special live episode. Join Duncan and special guests having candid and challenging conversations about the culture and business of media in Aotearoa.
This will be a live recording of The Spinoff podcast The Fold.
Lucy Blakiston is the CEO and cofounder of Shit You Should Care About - a Gen Z run media company with a daily newsletter, two podcasts, and a social following of over 3 million people. Luce is the writer, community manager, podcaster, tiktoker, tweeter, instagrammer - anything to do with content and connecting with their audience? That’s on her. She’s also just released her first (bestselling) book, ‘Make It Make Sense’ about being a Worn Out Woman, building her business, and managing to stay sane while straddling both online and in real-life worlds.
Bernard Hickey has been around the media block a few times in Aotearoa and overseas. He’s now a ‘journopreneur’ with his own subscription email newsletter and a podcast on the Spinoff called When the Facts Change. Sadly, or happily, the facts in New Zealand’s media landscape are always bloody changing. Bernard co-founded Interest.co.nz, Newsroom.co.nz and The Kākā on Substack. He’s still searching for ways to fund useful journalism online and feels he’s getting closer, although he’s only seven years away from a gold card.
